US Data Centre Scheduled Maintenance 8th October 2014

The US data centre have informed us that one of their upstream bandwidth suppliers, Time Warner, will be performing scheduled maintenance on the 8th October 2014 between 8am and 1pm BST.

The Time Warner Cable Engineering department will perform network maintenance which will impact our service in the US data centre.

The purpose of the work is to repair a fire damaged fibre optic cable.

Downtime has been quoted as up to two hours within the maintenance window, though if all goes to plan, it is anticipated that this should actually only be around five minutes or less for each BGP re-convergence cut over, of which there will be two.
